Fourth of July is one week away and if you still have yet to figure out plans for the family here are some fun events going on around your area of Austin. Remember your red, white and blue!


 

CENTRAL AUSTIN


H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert and Fireworks

Watch the fireworks show from other locations around Austin too such as Zilker Park or South First Bridge. This event is completely free, so don’t forget to bring friends and family!


Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company

1305 West Oltorf St | 12-8p | Website


Cornhole, a watermelon eating contest and more! There’s stuff to do here all day, and  everyone is going to bike to Auditorium Shores to watch the fireworks around 7:30pm.


4th of July Corn Dog Eating Contest

You must sign up to participate (email events@blacksheeplodge.com). All entry fees go towards a local charity and the winner of the contest will receive $250 cash!


Movie: “Independence Day” with Digital on-screen Fireworks Show

Blue Starlite Drive-In Austin | 8:45-10:40p | Website


Watch the movie Independence Day from the comfort of your own car! Stay after the movie and enjoy a firework show on the screen of the drive-in. You must buy tickets to enter.


Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic, presented by Budweiser

Doors open at 11a and the show begins at 12p! Willie Nelson will be headlining the performances along with several other artists throughout the day. Don’t forget to purchase tickets!


Geraldine’s 4th of July Party*

WESTLAKE


Westlake 4th of July Parade

The parade officially starts at 9 am, but make sure to come early and grab a spot to see all the costumes and enjoy the free food.


 

LAKEWAY


July 4th Celebration

There are happenings all around the Lakeway area. The parade begins at 8:30a, so start your day off right by being there to celebrate this year’s theme ‘Salute To Volunteers’.


 

BEE CAVE


Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Celebration

Pack your swimsuits, blankets and chairs for the celebration going on at the Hill Country Galleria. There will be live music, splash pads and fireworks all throughout the day!


 

CEDAR PARK


Cedar Park 4th of July Parade and Celebration

This parade kicks off at 10a, followed by a celebration starting from 5-10:30p at Elizabeth Milburn Park. Don’t forget to put on some sunscreen if you plan to be out all day!


 

BUDA


Red, White & Buda July 4th Celebration

Buda has stuffed planned all day long starting with a parade at 9a and ending off the night with fireworks at the Buda Sportsplex beginning at 9:30p.

Even though it’s the 4th of July, don’t forget to grab some delicious BBQ around Austin or maybe check out some watering holes to keep everyone cool during the day before settling somewhere to watch the fireworks.
