The Full Story

I'm a Texas Ex with a journalism degree. My main focus in long-form writing has been on lifestyle and music. However, my main focus as of recently has been in social media marketing and digital marketing. I’ve worked on social media accounts that have to do with whiskey, food festivals, fashion, magazines, and tourism. Outside of working, I always enjoy exploring Austin through the food scene, music, art, or events going on throughout the city.

Throughout college I worked on the social media accounts for Austin Woman Magazine, pitched and wrote for ORANGE Magazine, co-founded BLEND Magazine, and have done ghostwriting for Austin bloggers. BLEND Magazine was a passion project created by a friend and myself during our senior year of college. When we started we had 18 staff members and focused on showcasing the music industry in Austin along with being a lifestyle magazine. Basically, a BLEND of everything that is Austin!

When I entered college I wasn’t really sure what direction I wanted to go in with journalism, but as I worked internships throughout school I was able to narrow down the direction I wanted to go in and ignite a passion for working in the social media realm. As I’ve grown as a person and had several years in the workforce now, my drive for learning has pushed me to test my limits and capabilities while making sure to work on my weaknesses.
